Diaries of Redang Island

Day 1

Waiting for bus at Perhentian Putra at 11pm. Get into bus. Taking nap in bus. Listening cold jokes in cool midnight.

Reach Kuala Terengganu at 5am (6 hours journey). Gan gets his head prize here - bird shit O.O. Helping him to clean up. Loitering around at bus station. Waiting for shuttle bus to jetty.


Having our breakfast. Food are not well rated. Reach jetty. Waiting for Laguna's ferry. Taking nap in a half journey off-aircond ferry. All sweat!

Reach shore of Laguna. Short briefing of "to the right, to the right~". Mini shuttle to lobby. YY becomes the 1st customer of Laguna. Having buffet lunch. Food are medium rated. Taking snapshots of beach, BEAUTIFUL! Having rest in room.



Heading back to shore of Laguna at 2.30pm. Rent life jackets, masks, towels. Another briefing. Heading to 1st snorkeling spot, feel the wind blows for 45 minutes.

Reach bay. Jump into sea. Tasting salty water. Trying to master to breath in water. Drinking salty water. Looking down to the sea, AMAZING corals! Trying to pull YY's legs; Trying to pull Gan's leg; Trying to pull everyone's leg. Following YY with his baits. Looking group of fishes feed by YY, nice! Heading back to ferry. Resting at deck of ferry, stronger wind this time! Heading back to shore.

Rent a football instead of volleyball. Play at mini football field. Play at beach. Get 2 free kicks, flung it all =<. Play volleyball. Obviously, it is a Ken & Kang vs Simon & YY match. Jin steps in. Jin steps out. Rest at beach. Trying to cover Simon with sand; Trying to cover simon with big hard coral =). Back to room.
Raining. Heading for dinner. Serving buffet BBQ dinner. Eating plates of it. Food are very well rated. Back to room. Started our Chor Dai Di session. Chiu, I like my deck =). Watching Ong Bak movie. Qing visits. Simon & YY came into our room, lie on my bed. Wonder why.... Watching Stephen Chow's movie. Zakwan dream of Gan...

Went out for a walk with Kang at 12am ++. Laguna's disco ended. Redang Beach's disco just ended. Saw Siong and Qing on the way back. Sleep.


Day 2

Wake at 8am. Going for buffet breakfast. Food are not bad. Having a look in More More Tea Souveniur Shop with Kang & Ken. Back to room empty handed.

2nd snorkeling at 9.30am. Reach shore just on time. Hoping for a speed boat. We sit on a speed boat! Woo Hoo!

Reach another shore in 15 minutes. Prettier spot, more unseen fishes, but not nemo... Managed to buy baits; Managed to buy water-proof camera. Back to beach with baits. Having fun with fishes. Surprisingly, Siong got his middle finger bitten by fish, bleed. End up showing us his middle finger.

Trying to get 27 frames from 11 people. Trying to push Ken down; Trying to push Zakwan down; Trying to push everyone down for shoots. Time's up. Heading back to Laguna.

Heading to swimming pool. Conquering the Jacuzzi. Relax....

Time for buffet lunch. Jien got his slippers worn out. Bought a new one in More More Tea. Heading for lunch. Food are almost same with yesterday. Back to room.

Kang, Gan, me going around Redang Island searching for camera renting. Explored two third of the island. Found the camera, back to the shore at 3pm for last snorkeling. Reach there in 5 minutes.


Getting down again. Swimming in group this time. Again, doing shootings underwater. 700 shoots available! Time's up. Quite a distance away from boat. Swim my life back to boat. Kang is on the boat. Kang slipped off from boat! Back to Laguna's shore.


Heading to beach. Self snorkeling for small sharks. Rocky place. Managed to see once for hours of snorkeling. Chiu, Ken, Kang, me laying down on beach, relaxing....

Back to room. Heading for buffet dinner. Varieties of food. Listening to some professional pub singers downstairs. "Lo Hon Ban......"

Having a beach walk with Zakwan, Ken, Chiu, Jien. Souvenirs walk to be exact. Glimmering stars spotted. Heading to Redang Beach Resort. Listen to young pub performers. It's HEAVEN! Red moon spotted. Chiu run like mad child. Ken falls off the clift. Heading to most right of Redang Island. Zakwan collecting brochures. Heading back to Laguna. Chiu falls off the cliff. Ken falls off the clift again. Trying to see blue sand, not spotted. Trying to get ourselves tan laying down on bench at night. Back to room.

3 topless pokers spotted at balcony(Gan, YY, Simon), 1 salted fish on bed(Kang). Watching Bewitched movie. Junk food, cocaine + chivas, Chor Dai Di session again. 13 Chao?!

Back to our room. Zakwan lost his key chain. Ken, Kang, me helping Zakwan to search for it on beach. Couldn't find. Went for shootings at More More Tea, food court, some trucks, passing through swimming pool, back to room. Sleep. Ken closes Kang's player middle of the night. Unable to sleep until guys nex room settled down mastering their tricks in Chor Dai Di.


Day 3

Last day of trip. Wake at 6am ++. Freshened up myself for sunrise view. It was raining looking outside the balcony. Back to sleep. End up Zakwan going for sunrise view alone, continue searching for his key chain.

Wake at 9am. Heading for buffet breakfast. Same food served. Back to room. Packing up. Ken lost his beach pants hanging on the balcony. Searching his life for it. Couldn't find. Monkey? Wind? Rain? or Thief?

Checking out. Rush for last souvenirs shopping at More More Tea. Gan takes group picture. Chiu, Kang, me rush for another souvenir shops at Redang Beach. Run back to shore for boat back to Kuala Terengganu. Last boat; Last passengers. Feel like a running competition, where they claps and cheers for us. Sincerely, thanks for YY waiting. And sorry to cause troubles.

Reach Kuala Terengganu Port at 2pm. Having lunch on own expenses. Not bad for the restaurant. Walking the streets of Kuala Terengganu. 7 Wonders of the World spotted. Zakwan continues with his brochures. Ken bought his new slippers. Loitering at the well....

Back to Laguna's Guard House. Some bath; Some sleep; Some play cards. Sorry to look at Gan's deck, natural response =X Tricked badly by Simon and Gan, or I'm easy to be tricked....

Find ourselves a place at 7pm. Conquer McD for next 3 hours. Another Chor Dai Di session; Another 13 Chao. YY's friend visits. Abandonned 6 of us in McD. Double pile of deck for Chor Dai Di. Jin asks whether it is buggy..

Having McD dinner. Taking 10pm bus back to Kuala Terengganu, more comfortable this time. Reach KL at 5am. Zakwan thanks for breakfast. Reach home at 8am. Sleep.
